The Jaggerz について
Moustache rock combo The Jaggerz were formed circa 1965 in Beaver Falls Pennsylvania, released their first single in 1968 and produced their first album Introducing The Jaggerz on Philadelphia's Huff-Gamble label in 1969.
They had their biggest success in 1970 with the RIAA gold award novelty rock hit The Rapper released on the Kama Sutra label. The album containing this hit was called We Went To Different Schools Together
Original lineup members included trumpet & bassist Jimmie Ross, organist Thom Davies, guitarist Benny Faiella, drummer Jim Pugliano, vocalist Dominic Ierace (a.k.a Donnie Iris - who would later became a member of Wild Cherry and a successful solo artist in the early 80s).
After followup singles stalled, the band recorded an album for RCA/Wooden Nickel records in California circa 1975 in California. One last attempt was made to recut the Rapper and other novelty cuts with DJ Wolfman Jack singing, and they eventually disbanded.
Jimmie Ross, who left the group in 1975 to join maintains a revamped version of the band since the late 1990's and has a website at
