An enduring and spirited performance liked by the youth and bringing out the youth in the “older” generation. While the teens and tweens were singing along and shuffling from side to side, they were perhaps too self-conscious to really dance. I however was impelled by the overt beats and delightful chords to jump and jam around. Behind me a group of three fifty-somethings were leaping around like pronking buck wearing the widest of grins. Don is a smooth crowd-pleaser, entertaining with his specialised keyboard skills and electric double-bass. At the piano he ripped out from the heavens a stellar performance. Cameo singers were injected intermittently to indulge the crowd with their inimitable flavour of singing and performance, raising the bar even higher on the entertainment value. There are few acts that can have so many picnic-goers on their feet so early, but by the last song it was only the most intransigent of concert-goers that still had their arses pinned to the picnic blankets. I left the Goldfish concert at Kirstenbosch feeling thrilled and sated. My only concern leaving the concert that night, was that my birthday the following day would not match the ecstasy I felt as I threaded my way home through the happy chatter of throngs of grinning, humming and singing home-goers at one of the most beautiful concert venues in the world.

Fantastic atmosphere and inclusivity of the crowd. Loved every song that was performed with such passion! Will definitely 100% recommend for kids and adults. Money well spent.
