Enter the Haggis has been in my Spotify rotation for a few years now, and I'd had the thought that if they're ever close by I'd definitely go see them. Then I learned about the exit the Haggis tour and Camp Haggis at the same time, and was mildly devastated that I wouldn't get the chance to catch either one.
Then I saw that Haggis X-1 was formed, and that they were booked at the Zenbarn, only a half hour away! I hit the buy tickets link so hard I just about broke my mouse button!
I didn't know anything about their new configuration but I can tell you they raised the roof last night.
The new members are fantastic, it seems like they've been playing together for years. And the fiddle player absolutely shreds! I don't think I've ever used the word to describe a fiddle player before but it 100% fits.
Fantastic show, great music, awesome stage presence, tight band. If you like Celtic rock you owe it to yourself to catch this band.
