Excellent Show! Foghat opened the show and absolutely killed it!! Took me back to the 1970’s when I saw the original Band in Fresno, California at Sellend Arena. Blue Oyster Cult played the number 2 slot and rocked their set!
BTO came out and played an incredible set, I never stopped moving! What a great performance! A great time was had by all, I reckon we still got rock in our souls and BTO fired us up!!! The musicians all were perfect, The Bachman’s were amazing and the Drummer truly kicked serious ASS she flat out brought the thunder and the sound was amazing !!! Thank You to Foghat, Blue Oyster Cult and Bachman Turner Overdrive!!! The music is still in my ears!!!
Melissa Etheridge delivered an absolutely unforgettable performance last night! From the first note to the final encore, her voice was as powerful and soulful as ever, and her energy filled the entire venue. She connected with the audience in such an authentic way—sharing personal stories, laughing with us, and making it feel like we were all part of something special.
The setlist was the perfect mix of classic hits and newer songs, each one performed with passion and precision. The band was phenomenal, and the sound quality was spot-on—every guitar riff and drumbeat hit perfectly.
What really stood out was the way Melissa made the night feel both intimate and electric. She has this rare ability to make you feel like she’s singing directly to you, even in a packed house. I left feeling inspired, energized, and grateful to have experienced a true rock icon doing what she does best.
If you ever get the chance to see her live—GO. You won’t just hear great music; you’ll have a night you’ll never forget.
Such a fantastic show from both Incubus and Manchester Orchestra!! Incubus had an amazing light/laser show and they still sound as good as they did back in the day.The Venue at Thunder Valley is now my absolute favorite place to go see shows. We were in the "nosebleed" seats in the furthest row and still had a great view. Acoustics are amazing, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. They even thought to put a bar in the venue where you can still see the show from the line. It's also indoor so during our summer you can still go enjoy a show without heat issues.
Cro-Mags and Harley energy was over the top. I was there to see Abbath and the band just killed it, immortal is my favorite band. I was not expecting to see Pepper and Phil. Back in the day I saw pantera many times and thought much of Phil. A fan of the hair metal days because the riffs were great. Phil’s ruined the band and talked a lot about the bros in a bad way. Then the not see salute, hated him for years. I have to admit, Phil is an icon and a monster presence on stage. Not a fan of Down but seeing Phil flooded my memory of the old shows. I was entertained. Tommy Victor a G D legend. His energy was the WHOLE F’N show as RVD would say. Super strong bill all the way through. Get there early to see Cro-Mags. Listen to at the heart of winter by immortal, you’re welcome.
First, the venue was great. I am always willing to pay a little bit more for a smaller venue. It's a bit out of the way, but traffic in and out was nothing. Free parking, an easy walk to your seat. Lady A was wonderful as always. We saw them in 2021 and they were incredible so we were excited to see them again. I'm usually not a fan of cover songs, I feel they take up time where we could be listening to their own music, but they did theirs well. You could tell they enjoyed playing music with each other and their chemistry on stage is wholesome. I think the sound at the theater was a bit muted but that's on the venue. It was a bit foggy but that's because smoking is allowed in the casino. Overall this was a great concert!
They always put on a great show. I have seen them countless times, in various venues like Lollapalooza, small venues Music Box theatre in Hollywood, to stadium performances.
They put on a good show at Thunder Valley. However, John was noticeably injured, and had to sit and rest part way through the show. I believe it was after he had a car accident earlier in the year.
Anthony came out late, not the first time that I have seen that happen. The real shocker was that he had a broken leg or other injury, and was wearing a walking cast. He still jumped around a lot. I think that he needs to remember that he is getting on in age, and needs to take better care of himself.
Their voices have really held out, and Flea, is always amazing, he never ages! He is also such a nice person. Someone had brought his book to the show and he signed it.
I have spoken to Flea years ago, he is good person and a consummate musician.
I am nostalgic for the old Mraz days: Small venues, the "acoustic trio" (Jason, Toca, and Ian), the old songs, and getting to hang out with him after. The latter is what I miss most.
However, I am so happy for him to be at this stage of fame and success. It's truly amazing to look around and see a sea of excited people!
I am so proud of you, Mr. A-Z.
It was a memorable experience.
Lou Gramm and 38 Special were the artists and they both didn’t disappoint at all! Lou Gramm belted out hit songs of Foreigner and his solo hits. When he first appeared, my first thought was, oh no he won’t be very good. After he did a couple of songs, I was reassured that wasn’t going to be the case. I saw him in the early eighties, when he was still with Foreigner. Even after all those years, he still sounds great! He performed his show and left the stage and there was a short intermission, then we jammed to 38 Special. I had also seen them in the early eighties! They had changed their lineup some since, back then but they were still awesome! The sound was clear and thunderous! All of the band gave us their best performances. It was a truly awesome experience by both bands. It will be remembered as one of my favorite concerts. Thunder Valley Casino has an incredible venue for the best music experiences. I will gladly go there again and again for concerts.
Goo Goo Dolls played a lot of songs. Lead singer gave an incredibly real performance. He showed humility and humor while controlling the audience as he wished. The Venue is nice but the volume was so low hardly felt like a rock concert. Bars were closed leading to long wait for $25 cocktails. Goo Goo Dolls were great and worth seeing at least once.
BEP was AWESOME!!! Though the show started later than expected. They were definitely worth that wait. They put on a GREAT show. With all of there top hits like "Let’s Get It Started", to "Boom Boom Pow" to "I Gotta Feeling". They were all outstanding musicians. One of the best shows I have been too. will.i.am even sang his solo songs like "#thatPOWER" and "Scream & Shout"
Enjoyed the show even though they started late and mics cut out at key parts.
Hated having to wait in the smoky casino to enter and then have to exit through the same when they have a beautiful outdoor covered patio area and exit doors from the patio right to the parking area. Having to make a big loop to go through the casino is just wrong, especially for those with respiratory issues.
Seating is tight and constant having to get up to allow others to pass. Probably need more warning in foyer to tell people to get to their seats as so many came in late and disrupted those trying to enjoy the show.
Plenty of secure parking and they really get the flow of traffic going to empty the casino. Be prepared to only be allowed to make a right turn out of the venue and going the long way around to get back to 65 and I 80.
It was fantastic!!! First time I have been to The Venue so didn't know what to expect. Seating was excellent, everyone was professional in appearance and friendly in their interactions. And the show was perfect - I love how the performers were flexible enough in how they interacted with the audience or when they goofed up in their presentations or songs. True artists!!
Boney was awesome as always! He played my favorites and we loved his band! The drummer and guitar Big Mike’s solos were on hit!! Boney and his band have so much energy! It was a perfect summer night out at the Venue at Thunder Valley Casino. I hope he comes back to promote his next album. We will definitely be back to see him at the Venue.
By far one of the better concerts I’ve been to. A band full of great musicians and did some great crowd work as well. His voice is spot on with the recordings. Unlike other bands/musicians, Train actually performed on time, which is rare nowadays, and did a 22-song set. About two hours long. Great, new venue as well. Just this year alone, I’ve seen John Mayer, Muse, OneRepublic, Phoenix, Kelsea Ballerini, etc…… I would say that so far Train has been the most crowd friendly and respectable band. The show was absolutely worth the money. Highly recommend.
Although it’s hot I do enjoy the Thunder Valley Venue. This event fans were provided and I valued that thoughtfulness. Travis Tritt & his band did an amazing show. I know they must have been hot not only because of the weather but also all the lights but they didn’t even let it phase them. Randy was jumping, dancing and rocking his guitar. Watching the band vibe was awesome. I’ve never seen a steel pedal guitar live so that was a treat as well. The energy from Travis and his band really lit up the crowd. I don’t think anyone in the venue sat down once the entire performance. It was one of the best shows.
Travis Tritt was the Best last night! Luv his Bandmates, too! His vocals were great and he’s amazing on his high notes! It was warm last evening in Lincoln but we could not sit during his motivational sounds 💕. Cannot wait to see him, again——maybe he will come to my hometown Napa Valley, CA❣️
Show was great, even though it was hot. The opener changed last minute to David nail, they were excellent. I am not a fan of casino shows...people tend to come in drunk and sloppy for the main act and dump drinks all over. I was second row center, great seats..but for the last song security let anyone go to the front. Not to be a snob, buttttt..we paid extra to see the show...in the premium seats...we did not pay to see late comers and row hoppers.
I've seen Styx for years. Usually they pull out some of their more rockin songs. Not on this tour. All pop songs. Sorry to see they brought back mr Roboto. Keyboard player did a 10 minute segment and played some cover songs. Could've easily fit in another styx song. Too many new songs, especially on a short set. Highlights were crystal ball and blue collar man. Sounded great just not my favorite song selection.
Love LRB. I am sad to say that at this performance the lead singer- who I do love- is losing his ability to sing and it is affecting the performance. It happens to most aging artists, which I can attest to as a professional vocalist.I hope he can recognize it and hire a singer to sing those beautiful songs.
Foreigner - the music sounded great. Just wished that they had played longer. The set was a little short they were on stage less than an hour and a half and they spent a little more time talking than I like at a concert. Introduce the band “yes” and give short stories “that’s cool” but when the countdown clock on the side of the stage says you have 20 minutes left and after talking you can only fit in one song where there could have been several that was disappointing. Other than that loved the show.
