One of the best live shows I’ve been to in a while. Both openers were captivating and we jammed out so hard!! Such a great Vukovi set list and such hype energy for the end of a tour. Something I loved about them was how grateful they were to be there which made us as an audience feel appreciated 😊 I can’t WAIT to have them back to Boston and I’m so excited to put Calva Louise on my playlists!!
Sooooooooo Good!!! Levitate Music Festival needs to get Surfer Girl in the lineup!
This was an amazing home coming show for Surfer Girl! Great Energy (as always with SG) Fun crowd, and a really nice venue! This show was so good I am going to see them again this week (maybe even 2 more shows this week!)
Complete silence from the audience for almost every song from start to finish. Nai Palm is immensely. Unbelievably. Utterly. Talented. Her band was missed, but we could better appreciate her gift as a solo act. Sound quality at the show didn’t do her Justice. Venue was very tightly packed and the only way I could see the artist below her chin was if I stood behind her lol.
Mest was absolutely everything!!! Haven't seen them live since my early 20s, so this was everything I remember!!! Loved that I recognized Tony walking minutes before they were to go on, and he didn't make it weird that I reached out to touch him lol!
I love that they keep their sets just enough conversation to keep you entertained but stick with the music!! The fact that Tony still crowds surfs is wild and loves it!
Authority Zero I never heard of good set but not my kind of music.
Bowling For Soup was good once they got to their songs! Way too much talking which takes away from the whole experience.
Other than that it was a packed phenomenal night!
If you know Havok you don't need me to tell you how good they are, but if you don't: This is a band you don't even need to know before you go. They are SO good you'll get swept up in the energy and talent.
The sound quality in BMH is excellent. For what is effectively a square room the acoustics are top notch.
a breath-taking performance of not only hail the sun’s, but every band that was apart of this line-up. while the new age filth tour was a good tour, this tour definitely tops it as it felt like every band was passionate to be onstage. each band that is apart of this tour is so lively with their stage presence and sound, and despite the difference in sounds, they all meshed very well together.
upon meeting hail the sun in vip, the stories i had heard of how genuine and down to earth the guys are was confirmed for me. i was so nervous about this show and how meeting them would go, but upon being able to talk to them, give them gifts, etc. i’ve learned they are genuinely such kindhearted souls, and my admiration for them and this band has skyrocketed as a fan for 5-6 years (since middle school). i really hope to meet them and see them perform again.
I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A SHOW THAT MADE MY EYES TEAR UP, this one was it!
I have loved Alex’s music since the day i heard it. Her voice really put me in the clouds! She is one of those artists that really embodies a real sense of positivity that is very much lacking in todays music. I remember being at this concert and feeling represented and supported. I would highly recommend attending her concert with someone you love!
BK the best in the game comin up, it was energy from the moment i stepped in to hours after i left. DJs did a dope job of getting the crowd hype before her appearance and even on stage she was showed mad love to the fans and all. Merch team was kind after the concert, and the overall experience was definitely one of a kind. Level 5 all the way 🫡
The band: The Beaches are full-power rock band that I'm amazed that I can still see in a small venue. They put on an energetic and exciting show, rocking every minute of it. Their songs are clever, with witty, women empowering lyrics and lots of energy, and they are very memorable - I find myself humming or whistling a number of their songs. Good stuff! I'm glad that I went!
The venue: The Brighton Music Hall, in the Allston area of Boston, MA is a nice place. That area has a wealth of dining options ranging from good bar food across the street at Tavern in the Square (a chain, from what I understand), to a number of Korean options. It's a 3-4 minute walk from the Harvard Avenue stop on the Boston College branch of Green Line of the T. They also offer limited parking just down the street.
It has a great marquee out front to announce the venue and the bands. There's a box office in the front entrance hallway, which is also where the security station and ticket check are. They are very security conscious with everyone going through a magnetometer before getting in. Once inside there are multiple bars, a nice sized performance room, and a backroom bar with pool tables, so it's not just a concert place, but a place to hang out. The restrooms are also in the back area.
The only "not-plusses" (not really minuses, but maybe something to work on) were the security/ticket area and the merch area. As mentioned before, the magnetometer was a bottleneck in coming in. If it would have been a larger show, I could see that that area would be a real slowdown to get in. Also, I was using Apple Wallet for my tickets, and the no-touch reader struggled to work with that, also causing a bit of delay to get in. The merch tables were set up in an alcove off of the main floor, and it was a bit tight trying to get to the merch tables after the show.
All-in-all, a great night was had.
Amazing show. Intimate and high energy. This was my first Lissie concert . To say I was stunned is an understatement. This is an artist you need to see live to truly get what she has to offer. Lissie, thank you for coming to Boston. Such a privilege to have shared the evening with you and the band. Shout out to Cat as well, well done!!!
This is one of those bands that I enjoy seeing at the smaller venues - they were great when they opened for Flogging Molly at Leader Bank Pavilion but much better close up and personal at Brighton. They put on a really good show, I highly recommend to go see them if you get the chance. How good were they? My wife became a fan at the show after hearing them perform. The band was great about signing one of their promotional posters for her.
Amazing show at my favorite venue!! Absolutely loved every opener, Stand Atlantic was Incredible and had an awesome set list! They even gave free water bottles to the people at the front towards the end of the show and man did we need it. THANK YOU to whoever’s idea that was. Can’t wait to see them again!!
Excellent show!! it was my first BOH gig, thoroughly enjoyed the band's songs and performance. The bass player fell ill 1/2 way through the gig but they didn't miss a beat - they figured it out in short order. Added a short acoustic set and then Ed Jurdi started playing bass - it was fantastic.
The Warning is one of the most exciting, energetic, and talented young bands that I've ever seen in over a half century of my musical experience. GO SEE THEM LIVE!!! You will NOT be disappointed! The venue was great as well, and I would recommend it to everyone.
One of the most fun concerts I've ever attended! Dany was great on vocals and her guitar playing was decent. The crowd around me was talking about how amazing Pau was on drums. Alejandra was also great on bass! The music was fast paced and kept everyone rocking!
Discovered them 2 weeks before this show, was amped to see them playing nearby after discovering them! Got to talk to Brian and Dan and they're great guys. They had van troubles and toughed it out and played an incredible show! Their merch was top tier. Can't say enough good things! I hope they play the East Coast more and get their own headlining tour. They're. That. Good.
Leprous delivered another superhuman performance. Baard Kolstad is one of the most innovative drummers in his genre & Einar’s varied otherworldly vocals were mind blowing.
Brighton Music Hall does need to update that dated gear…as it did not do justice to the bands dynamic sound. Regardless…A+ performance…thank you Leprous!!!!
It was canceled due to the virus, I was so looking forward to seeing them again they put on an excellent show and can’t wait till they come around again, I did see them up in NH at Wallys in Hampton beach and what a show that was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ show.
Fantastic show!! Katie brings a ton of energy and passion to her live performance and she has a band that is absolutely brilliant! And finally, someone who drops more f-bombs than Kathleen Edwards! I suspect Katie is going to continue to do great things and build a large following. It will be fun to say, hey I saw her back then in this small club . . .

Highlights of the show:
1. Allie Kral. She stole the show. She not only shreds on the fiddle, but her stage presence is awesome.
2. Jolene, Dolly’s classic has never sounded better.
3. E.M.D...holy crap! One of my favorite songs by The David Grisman Quintet, I never thought any one could do it better, but I was wrong. Jake Joliff ripped through the mandolin solos with surgical precision. His blazing pace was unbelievable! I had to literally pick my jaw up off the floor.
3. Traffic Jam. Just a great song/jam.
Could’ve done without some of the extended jams. In a club setting, when they started, the crowd involvement wained. I could literally hear people talking, “So I closed the Johnson account.” I think the extended jam maybe works better at the larger outdoor festivals. Maybe I’m wrong.
Also what ever was on the floor was sooooo sticky I could barely pull my feet off the floor to dance/groove.
