It was brilliant! They had 2 really good warm up bands, the best being Rock Band From Hell (who I met after). They are much better than I was expecting. There were three encores and on the last one they played there Eurovision song. The song Flatline is the BEST song I’ve heard live!!! I’ve even been to a Måneskin concert and it did not beat this.

This was a great show, one of the best overall gigs I’ve been to. I opted for the VIP package with a meet the band and band photo package and it was so worth it. The guys were all really nice and very chatty and warm. We were at the front and in the middle which really made the experience 10 times better. The support acts were superb, Dear Superstar, Rubikon and the standout band of the entire gig….The Treatment, who played a blistering set, I had a smile on my face the whole time 😀

They were fantastic live. I've seen Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Slash, Richie Sambora and others live and Nuno Bettencourt was probably the most impressive. Funky, melodic, shred, heartfelt. Rest of band were great too. Gary is an athlete belting it out as he did for 2 hours and continually moving around the stage is incredible. He was good from start and got better I think as his voice warmed up. Pat on bass was also fantastic on back up vocals and drumming was also fab. Was a great mix of their best loved/well known tracks and new stuff. Loved they even did some of III sides. They were very humble too and the final part of show after last song, they stayed on stage to really soak up the audience and show their appreciation of them/us. They were as grateful of us as we of them. Special night.

Musicianship is amazing. Let down by the mix from the desk. The drummer you could pick out every part of the kit. Guitar was great. The vocals got lost in the mix as it did with LA Edwards too. I have seen plenty of other bands in the Academy where the sound was balanced and spot on. Not sure what happened this night.

First started listening to Quinn XCII back in 2019 upon the release of his second album FMWL. Quickly became one of my favourite artists and played a big role in my life since then. This gig was 4 years in the making for me and it didn't disappoint at all. Band was tight and the stage presence was there, both in interactions with the crowd and making full use of the space. Quinn XCII's live vocals were fantastic as well, Definitely recommend seeing him to any fans out there if they get the chance.

Absolutely brilliant gig.. venue was spacious outside the venue room & plenty of areas for refreshments that were ok priced & amenities & somewhere you could go when it got too hot.. it was a sold out gig & all standing so it it was completely packed during the gig. There is disabled access upstairs on the balcony which offers a brilliant view of the whole room & also has a bar & is accessible via a lift.. it’s wristband only here so check how to obtain one.. staff were very organised & helpful.. cheery & chatty. It was a great experience attending this venue & the goo goo dolls were amazing.

Never seen them or heard them until tonight at Manchester Academy, but do like Tool and A Perfect Circle + my son likes them, so I went. First half was an. at the audience. Backdrop "cartoon" with Maynard babbling no essence in the same staccato way that Max Headroom used to do, many years ago. Very theatrical.. Bloody boring! Eventually that phase of the show ended with all of them leaving the stage. I was tempted to leave, but thought I'd give them another 10 mins first. BIG CHANGE, Less of the silly MIB stuff ans into a set more like Tool and was Excellent, culminating in Maynard letting anyone who wanted to use cell phones to film the last song " Bedlamite", ending the starting edict that '"no phones could be used during the show.

2 very poor support bands,the excellent skynd saved the entire thing, but was a shame the 2 headliners didn't really engage the crowd ,blistering pace through the hits they have (both skynd and INK)But neither played my personal faves ,the crowd were all quite obviously there just for INK on the whole with lots of premature appreciation of skynds stuff. INK definitely put on a show ,sounded good on the whole but there was definitely something lacking.

Cracking gig and well worth the trip from Anglesey to see them. I was disappointed when I saw them in Rock City a number of years ago but this gig was great. Blackie's voice is still going strong. Not the longest of sets but still good. All in all a cracking gig, the only issue was the small group of f*cknuckles pushing people at the back of the area, it was so close to boiling over into something much nastier. If you want to get p1ssed and jump around hurting people, stay at home!

I've been waiting for this for 3 years and it was amazing. Highlights was Memento Mori opener and Art coming from behind his kit to spend some time with fans. The set list was awesome, but it felt a bit short. Would have been good to have a couple of extra songs. In all a too night

My 8th time seeing Nada Surf since I first heard them supporting the Vines at the Manchester Academy just over 20 years ago and it’s been a fabulous journey all the way. Brooklyn’s masters of melodic power pop have released some of the best albums over that period and remain one of my absolute favourite bands. Given the fact that their last visit to Manchester in March 2020 was the very last gig they played before the world shut down in lockdown mode, this much rescheduled return took on a new significance. Little doubt it was equally as great as all the other shows I have seen them do. Already looking forward to their next album which we should see later in 2023. Great night!

From the opening song Death By Rock and Roll , Taylor Momsen had the crowd in raptures. From my position near the front , slightly right of centre stage , the crowd were jumping about & singing to the 1st four songs of the set . The musicianship of the band members was exceptional. About half way through set , Taylor donned 🎸 to play a few songs . Crowd favourites like 25 , My Bones & Only love can save save Me Now were also in set as was some from early in career. There was a customary drum solo , which got some of the audience moving to the beats . Above all a well executed performance from the band .

So sick, after being at level 10/10 Stoke all week AOF did not disappoint. Energy on stage was amazing and watching dallas sing was mesmerising. Set was too short, after only 1.5 hours curfew was up, gutted didn't want it to end. Don't sleep on any chance you get to see these guys live. Best gig of 2022

Absolutely Fantastic show. Saw Morgan Wade the first time at C2C London. She was fantastic there and when she announced she was doing a tour I got tickets there and then for Manchester. Fantastic voice. Fantastic song writing. This girl is going to be a massive massive star. I managed to get her autograph, and 3 guitar picks from her and the lead and bass guitarist. As well as that both my partner and I had our photos with her. They are a class act. And definitely a must see. Again what a fantastic show.

Adrianne seemed very sweet and they played lots of bangers. Dragon new warm mountain I believe in you and Spud Infinity were highlights for me. Would have been nice if they'd have played Cattails or Orange as UFOF was the first album I liked, but the set list was mostly from Dragon which was nice. Manchester Academy is a really rubbish venue though and tall people are the bane of my existence, could not see a thing.

I loved this gig so so much! Robin was really kind and he played so many songs. The bad thing was that you have to wait at least 2h-3h to be in the front ish, and also that most of fans were really really young and I thought it was kinda embarrassing that some people were screaming « I love you » all the time and interrupting robin whenever he was saying something. SO the gig was amazing, but people need to show some more respect🌱

I absolutely loved every minute of it! Robin is such a sweet guy, he performs so well, and he really keeps the crowd interested when he’s not singing; he was so endearing, I really have a greater sense of respect for him after seeing him live! I’m definitely hoping to go and see him again!

Omfg they were amazing. We were literally 3rd row so our view was amazing. Lovely have the best music and are so good live. And the support act rh2 were amazing as well. Literally one of the best concerts I've ever been to. The venue is small so the concert is personal and the queues were small. AMAZING.

To be honest, I actually came to see Barns Courtney, not knowing anything about THE HUNNA, so where do I begin, the night was kicked off with Retro Video Club, a really good band, with good stage presence, and great songs, they got the crowd warmed up nicely, then enter Barns Courtney, with his usual flamboyant style, and brilliant songs, he revved the crowd up even more, getting everyone involved with crowd participation, crowd surfing etc, brilliant. Then for the main event, from the moment THE HUNNA came on stage, it was like the room had been given, a massive jolt from a defibrillator, the whole room was beating with one massive heartbeat !! THE HUNNA leading with Confidence, Authority, Anger, Swagger, SHEER BLOODY BRILLIANCE !!! Songs filled with Energy, Anger, Soulfulness, all performed with Passion and Pride, I came to see Barns Courtney, but left in Aww !! Of THE HUNNA !! Amazing !!! WHAT A NIGHT !!!! 💕

Clutch just keep getting better and better. Near perfect set - a combination of old and new - and Neil Fallon’s stage presence is awesome. There is absolutely no pretence about a Clutch gig; just an hour and a half of pure rock fury. I already can’t wait ‘til next time!
