Biographie de Downbeat Switch
Downbeat Switch were an aptly named Richmond, Virginia based rock band that was formed in 2002 and disbanded in 2017. After some lineup changes over the years, DbS found their core group and honed their abilities and sound into a tightly knit, original phenomenon to call their own. The band's funk, rock, soul, pop, and reggae infusion helped them stand out within the local music scene. Using extensive instrumental vamping, dynamic male and female vocal harmonies and powerful piano, guitar, and rhythmically driven riffs, Downbeat Switch were able to develop a large and diverse following. The band's front-woman, Jenna Be provided sultry, soulful vocals to compliment the band's unique melodic sound. DbS have six independently produced CDs, "Funk Shui"-2004, "Seconds"-2005, "Run from the Sun"-2009, an EP titled "The Red Door Sessions" in 2010, which featured Jenna Be on several previously recorded songs, a full length album, "BirdsEye" in 2013 with the bands final member lineup. The band released their most recent EP, "Constellations" in 2016. "The Red Door Sessions", "BirdsEye", and "Constellations" are available on iTunes and other online music stores. The band decided to amicably part ways in June of 2017 after 15 years of music. Thanks so much to all of our friends, family, and fans who supported us through all these years! Our last show was on 6/17/17. Thanks so much for the 15 years of great memories!
