Coated in layers of polished rock instrumentation that still holds an emotional grip, the group hits melodic touchstones while an extra gear breaks them loose. “ –The DeliAlyssa Joseph [EP release]www.alyssajoseph.com alyssa joseph is a singer/songwriter hailing from Philadelphia, PA. her electrified, calculated guitar playing, paired with her passionate, raw vocals create emotional alternative indie music that draws influence from strong female-fronted acts such as Big Thief, Julien Baker, and Daughter.Sleepy Freaksleepyfreak.bandcamp.com Sleepy Freak is a project started by Kate Lord in the beginning of 2017. For the majority of the past year, it has existed as a solo project. Now sometimes it's a band. To date, Sleepy Freak has only released solo music - a set of demos released last February, and a split with Greg Mendez released in November - but plans to release their debut full band EP sometime in the first half of 2018.Colonial Williamsburghttps://www.facebook.com/THEcolonialwilliamsburg/ From their start as a joke in a college dorm room, Colonial Williamsburg has been a staple in the Philadelphia all-girl comedic quarter-life crisis improv comedy show after-party music scene for millennia (3 or 4 years). With such hits as "I Fucked Benjamin Franklin" and "The Pizza Song About Depression", the duo has cultivated almost a dozen fans. For one night only, they'll return from retirement to play the songs of their hearts: half parody, half aggression, almost entirely played on ukulele. Band members include Sola Onitiri, Katie Calcado, and a souvenir frog from Bermuda on percussion.$10 in advance // $12 at doorsdoors 7:30pm // show at 8pmall ages
