ВИА Гра

Via Gra (Usually tagged as Виа Гра, released in English as Nu Virgos) is a Ukrainian/Russian girl-pop group started in 2001. They have a lot of member issues going on in their careers; most members have gone solo. Anna left to be married and is recording a new album. Svetlana was kicked out of the group and made a record. Alena and Nadya were original members, but left to go solo. Additionally Alena has been very successful with 3 albums so far in Ukraine and so on. Currently Via Gra (which has nothing to do with Pfizer) consists of Albina, Olga, and Vera (who is one of the original members of the group).

The name:
"Gra" is one possible translation of the Ukrainian "гра" ("The Game"). VIA stands for "вокально-инструментальный ансамбль"-- a somewhat wordy, but not entirely uncommon way of saying "vocal instrumental group". Put them together, and you have a band name, a pharmaceutical product, an innuendo, and a play on words!
