Biographie de The Creature Comfort
"Should be held in the same esteem as Joy Division, Stone Roses and Oasis" - LOUDER THAN WAR
"Brilliant energy and great, interesting songs" - BADLY DRAWN BOY
The Creature Comfort play impassioned music for troubled times, blending garage rock with heavy grooves and an epic dimension. Blending might and melody, their sonic onslaught powers a visceral soundtrack for an uncertain future.
Formed in Manchester by singer Ben Le Jeune after his arrival from Belgium in 1987, the band soon built up a cult following, sharing stage with Mudhoney, Gun Club, Stereolab, and generating major label frenzy. A long hiatus ended in 2013 with a new line-up and a critically acclaimed debut album. The Creature Comfort have since continued to gain traction through airplay on BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio London, live appearances including headlining Head for The Hills Festival, and have caught the attention of Iggy Pop, The Sonics, Badly Drawn Boy.
2024 will see a stream of singles released from what will be their third album, recorded with producer Tim Thomas (One Direction, The Fall, Paul Heaton).
