Nambuca

Nambuca, an alternative rock/pop band formed in London founded by Andrea Marin (lead vocals & guitar), Matteo Ricordo (drums, backing vocals) and Marika Rupil (Bass, backing vocals). Andrea started to sing and play guitar when he was 15 and in 2007 he moved to London. Since then he has worked as a guitarist with many artists and bands, supporting the Stereophonics’ 2008 tour across Europe with the band Hero and supporting Leona Lewis in London 2012/2013, on the acoustic guitar alongside Nikitta Angus (vocals). Andrea is also a songwriter and has held numerous established projects playing his own music. In 2012, drummer Matteo Ricordo and bass player Marika Rupil moved to London. When Andrea met them in 2013 he knew they were the rhythmic session he was looking for…and Nambuca was born. Nambuca engage together many influences from rock and pop whilst bringing reggae and hard rock extracts. The band have been together since September 2013, playing regularly in venues around London and working closely with "Midi Music" a leading company in the South London music scene. Nambuca played at "SONISPHERE" festival (Knebworth), in July 2014 on the "Rock Royalty" stage, where Metallica and Dream Theatre headlined. The first EP of the band will be released on November 2014.
