Biographie de Pacewon

PaceWon is a few of many Emcee’s in the history of Hip-hop culture to achieve commercial success withour ever compromising his hardcore style. From the first time the world heard him on The Fugees ‘The Score’, his rugged voice has resonated in the ears of everyone from both underground hip-hop heads to all around music fans across the globe. As a founding member of The Outsidaz, Pace is a legend in his home state of New Jersey. When he was handpicked to open up for Eminem for the entire ‘Slim Shady Tour’, Pace Proved that he can rock any crowd, big or small. More recently, he has toured with Method Man and Redman (BlackOut Tour) and the Multi-Platinum European Lounge Band : Morcheeba (Charango Tour). Together, PaceWon (Outsidaz) and Mr. Green form the classic hip hop combo: One MC, and One DJ. In the essence of 'Eric B. and Rakim' and 'GangStarr.' they define their style as classical hardcore Hip Hop. Mr. Green's heart pounding beats blend perfectly with Pace's gravelly yet smooth flow creating a flawless result. Within days of dropping their first single, they were already in radio rotation of many profound DJ's such as DJ Premier, DJ Eclipse and DJ Tony Touch. Their song 'Children Sing' is already considered to be an underground classic. With dynamic live shows that involve both improvisation as well as crowd participation, they define the definition of true performers. On August 31'st, PaceWon and Mr.Green and Raw Poetix Records are back with "The Only Number That Matters is Won"… the long awaited follow-up to their underground classic album "The Only Color that Matters is Green" Lyrically, Pace is sharper than he's ever been and Mr. Green's subtle, yet powerful beats set the perfect backdrop for Pace to let you know who he is and what he's all about. The songs "Real Life" and "Locked Up" (featuring Snoop Dogg), focus mainly on Police Brutality while "My GOD" is really just Pace reminiscing on the influence hip hop has had on his life. "Slow" (featuring Laurence Arnell) and "High" are love songs while "Liquor and Drugs" is a grimy party anthem. Another standout track: "Big Screen" is a unique ballad in which Pace cleverly rewrites himself and Mr. Green into three different popular movies as the main characters.
