Biographie de Sonny Apollo
Sonny Apollo is a Singer, Musician, and Actor. During his younger years studying Voice, Piano, Dance, and Acting Sonny gravitated to the work of different artists such as Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga, David Bowie, Janet Jackson, Queen, Mariah Carey, Prince, Alicia Keys, Sammy Davis Jr., Marvin Gaye, Chaka Khan, and Elton John. It was during his formative years that Sonny flirted with ideas of becoming a singer, while also participating in theater. "I wrote my first song at the age 9 and I have been writing music and songs ever since." Experiencing homelessness at age 19, Sonny didn't let the setback deter him from going after his dreams of being a star. "I'm black, I'm Queer, I'm the product of a single parent household, I was born with asthma that left me using a nebulizer for at least the first 3 years of my life. I have no religion, except love. I have all these adversities that have worked against me at different times but also continue to motivate me. I need to win. I want to win. I will win." Sonny's first major steps as a major artist were taken in 2017 when he released his first project, an EP, titled "Adventures in Paradise." “AIP” is a project that touched on identity, sexuality, and personal freedom. "AIP" would lead to a nomination for Sonny as "Best Singer-Songwriter" by the Chicago Reader for their #BestinChi 2017 Awards Poll. Sonny relocated to LA in September of 2018. The new year will see Sonny launch nightlife events and release more new music.
