One of those songs will also feature my fellow Xenogians. S.A. Griffin is a world class poet, author, word-weaver, raconteur and wit. A member of the mind blowing and highly influential Carma Bums, S.A. continues to drive the idea-mobile through the turnpikes of our minds, and thank the high holy happenstance for that. I recommend him highly. S.A. also is adept at improvising word-worlds in an alert fluid musical landscape, so we may have a little bit of S.A. vs. Brainchildren if we're lucky. I've had the pleasure of working with S.A. in that context and it's buckle your seatbelts and defog the third eye goggles time when it happens. Lonesome Leash is a one of a kind not to be missed performer. No hype, that's the reals.Lee Boek is a man of words. Mighty words. Small but powerful words. Words interlocking, weaving, standing alone and proud, working with others in marvelous harmony. Words conveying images, concepts, sounds. Just words? Yes, just words - words that are just, words to shake the unjust, to challenge the rust, to shake off the dust. Words. Lee is a man of words - that you want to hear. And all this in the early evening in the very groovy loft district of downtown. Right near Al's Bar. And Bloom's General Store. Ah, those were the days, weren't they? And they still can be, if you get your butt down to this excellent event. I'll tell you - the room is one of the groovier performance spaces. Looks really cool, sounds excellent.
