Sara Kroos

Sara Kroos (1981) studied writing for theatre at the HKU Utrecht when she won the audience award at the Leiden Cabaret Festival in 2000. From 2001 to 2003 Sara performed on stage with her first solo programme Honger. The performance Lam followed. From 2004 to 2006 Sara was part of the TV programme De Lama’s. In 2005 Sara started the tour of her performance Zoetgevooisd, with which she won the Cabaret Prize Neerlands Hoop in 2006. From 2007 to 2019 Sara created seven more performances: Breeze, Bohemian, For the Lions, Van jewelste, Doorgefokt, Zonder verdoving and Verte. From 2010 to 2014 Sara presented Sara op Zondag on Radio 2 every week. In 2020 she won the Poelifinario with her performance Verte. After a four-year absence, Sara returns to the stage in 2024 with "Prikkelarme kermis" (Peak-Free Kermis). A new show with Sara's signature ingredients: cheerful stories, sharp humor, and sweet songs. In 2025, this show was nominated for a Poelifinario in the Entertainment category.
