Join Hogan’s Alley Society for a Free, Black-Led Community Celebration of the Revival of Black Culture and Legacy in Hogan's Alley!
On September 26, 2026, Hogan’s Alley Society will bring Vancouver’s Black history, present and future to life in the heart of the city. The Hogan’s Alley Resurgence is a free, Black-led celebration of music, art, food, and community connection, honouring the legacy and future of the neighbourhood. The event, being held at People’s Park, is more than a festival. This landmark gathering is an active reclaiming of space, memory, and joy ahead of groundbreaking new developments in housing and cultural infrastructure.
Together with local artists, vendors, elders, and youth, we transform public space into a living archive, a place where community gathers, learns, and celebrates. Everyone is invited.
Join us to honour our legacy, celebrate the present, and boldly shape the future.

Artist bio
Léral is a singer and creative storyteller whose sound exists in the space between soul and pop (she calls it "soup"). Inspired by the likes of Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, and Tierra Whack, Léral brings humanness and a little bit of mischief into everything she creates.
At just five years old, Léral wrote her first song. The opening line, "butterflies, and purple grass, and rainbow hats, that's what I dream of.." still rings true. Léral brings everyday moments to life in palpable and imaginative ways, turning the ordinary into something loudly seen, felt, and heard.
WARNING! This music contains whimsy. Do not consume if grave and dull.
