Curawaka

Curawaka is a cross-cultural music collective whose powerful vocals, traditional instruments, and ceremonial rhythms connect ancient indigenous traditions with contemporary world music. Formed by artists from Norway, Mexico, and Argentina, the group brings a rich cultural perspective to every performance. Led by vocalist and songwriter Anna Bariyani, Curawaka gained international recognition with the breakthrough album Call of the Wild, featuring fan favorites "Noku Mana," "Te Nande," and "He Yama Yo." Their 2023 follow-up, Dreamtime, expanded the project's sound through lush arrangements and global collaborations. In 2025, Curawaka returned with Olokun, a spiritually charged release invoking sacred feminine forces of the sea.
