Great Lakes Brass

Sounds of the Zoo Second Line with Great Lakes Brass is a tradition that blends past, present, and future, with a living celebration, bringing people together through music, movement, and community celebration. This joyful, high-energy walking parade, accompanied by West Michigan’s own Great Lakes Brass, will celebrate community and honor Kalamazoo’s rich musical legacy, which includes the storied history of the original Gibson guitar factory and many other iconic figures and moments in time. 2026 is the 2nd year of this processional event, which includes a route that begins outside the Radisson Plaza Hotel before moving through its atrium and down the Kalamazoo Mall to Bronson Park for a free concert with multiple performers.
