Dan Nimmer

Dan Nimmer is an American jazz pianist, composer, and educator from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After studying classical piano, he discovered jazz and quickly established himself as one of Chicago's busiest pianists before moving to New York City. In 2005, he joined both the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and the Wynton Marsalis Quintet, and has performed internationally with the orchestra while continuing to lead his own trio.

Throughout his career, Nimmer has performed and recorded with artists including Jimmy Cobb, Norah Jones, Willie Nelson, Renée Fleming, George Benson, and Lewis Nash. He has also released six trio albums on Japan's Venus Records.
