Artist bio
Stephen Marley is a 9-time GRAMMY Award–winning recording artist, singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. He is the second born child to legendary icon, Bob Marley. Stephen’s career includes collaborations with an array of diverse artists including Lauryn Hill, Pitbull, Nas, Shaggy, Erykah Badu and many more.
His most recent album Old Soul was released in September 2023 via Tuff Gong Collective/UMe/Ghetto Youths International. The acoustic-based project spans multiple genres and cultural influences, with featured guest appearances by Bob Weir, Eric Clapton, Jack Johnson, Ziggy Marley, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Buju Banton, and Slightly Stoopid.
In addition to his prolific recording work including his groundbreaking seminal albums Mind Control and Revelation: Fruit of Life I & II. Stephen most recently served as musical director for the feature film Bob Marley: One Love (2024). The film received multiple NAACP Image Award nominations, and its soundtrack, Bob Marley: One Love–Music Inspired by the Film, won the GRAMMY Award for “Best Reggae Album” in 2025.
Stephen Marley continues to tour extensively throughout North America and beyond. Recent highlights include last year’s Bob Marley 80th Birthday Celebration Tour, while also joining Stick Figure’s Island Holiday Summer Tour 2025, followed by Traffic Jam North American Tour with his brother and “Welcome to Jamrock” counterpart Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO and the famed Hollywood Bowl. In 2024, The Marley Brothers’ Legacy marked the first national U.S. shed tour by all 5 Marley brothers in over two decades.
In 2026, Stephen continues to trod the winding road across the U.S. hitting the stage this April with stops at New Orleans & Heritage Jazz Festival, Reggae Rise Up Arizona, Austin Reggae Fest, Field of Dreamz Fest in San Diego, and Festival International in Lafayette, LA; just prior to embarking on the highly anticipated Roots & Rhymes Summer Tour with long-time friend and collaborator Buju Banton.
Stephen is currently in the studio working on multiple projects slated for release in 2026 including a major initiative in partnership with the Jamaica Tourism Board for Hurricane Relief awareness. Beyond his music, Stephen remains deeply committed to philanthropy through the Ghetto Youths Foundation—co-founded with his brothers Damian and Julian Marley—which focuses on empowering underserved communities through education, health, and community development initiatives.
