Sweden’s emerging rock stars are Alfonz Lindström on vocals, Aurell Poetri and Dexter Swärd on guitars, Elvira Lööf on bass, and Filip Samuelsson on drums. Just over a year ago, the band was only beginning to take shape – five friends in Borlänge who decided to spend their time performing Mando Diao covers in a basement. Their influences are clear – citing The Beatles and The Hellacopters among others – yet the group emphasizes the almost serendipitous chemistry that arises when Occrasy writes music.

Since the release of their debut single Local Coke last year, Occrasy, based in Borlänge, has steadily gained attention, performing on an increasing number of stages across the country and becoming one of Sweden’s most talked-about new acts. With their explosive and distinctive stage presence, they have quickly established themselves as part of the new wave of raw, sweaty, and unfiltered guitar-driven music sweeping through Sweden. Unlike many bands who spend years searching for their artistic identity, Occrasy has managed to craft a defined musical profile in just a matter of months.
