STANGS: The Revival of Grunge Rock

Emerging from the vibrant French rock scene, STANGS has been making waves since its inception
in 2021. Founded by the versatile multi-instrumentalist Enguerran, known for his impactful
contributions to projects like OXP, ASHES WARRIORS, and BAFANG, STANGS brings a fresh
and audacious sound to the forefront. Drawing inspiration from the raw and visceral tones of 90s
and 2000s grunge, punk, and alternative rock, the band seamlessly blends these influences into a
contemporary and melodious power punk rock grunge psychedelic style. Their sonic palette is
enriched by iconic bands such as Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Placebo, Our Lady Peace, Jet, Green River,
and Pearl Jam, among others.

The Genesis: From BAFANG to STANGS

In 2021, Enguerran embarked on a new musical journey by forming STANGS, marking a
significant evolution in his artistic trajectory. This project reflects his accumulated experience and
desire to transcend musical boundaries, fusing diverse genres to create a sound that is both raw and
melodious. The band's compositions emerged organically from numerous jam sessions, where ideas
flowed freely, leading to the development of their distinctive demos.

2022: A Revealing Debut EP

STANGS released their self-titled debut EP in 2022, a nine-track project that served as a prelude to
a full-length album. Embracing the DIY ethos, Enguerran took charge of all aspects of the recording
process, handling drums, bass, guitar, and vocals. This inaugural EP offers an immersive journey
into themes dear to the band, such as existential angst, the quest for meaning, and the defiance of
societal expectations. Imbued with punchy riffs and captivating melodies, the record captures the
essence of alternative rock with rare intensity and authenticity.

2025: "Love Is A Crash Test" EP – A Deeper Emotional Exploration

Building on their initial success, STANGS unveiled their second EP, "Love Is A Crash Test," in
2025. Once again, Enguerran assumed full creative control, serving as both musician and producer.
This new opus signifies a notable evolution in the band's style and thematic exploration. While their
debut EP focused on introspective subjects and raw energy, "Love Is A Crash Test" delves into the
universal theme of love in all its facets. Through powerful and sincere tracks, the EP examines
love's complexities: its passionate beginnings, its potential to fade away, and its transcendent ability
to save us all. Enguerran approaches this theme with poetic depth, infusing each song with an
introspective and, at times, cathartic dimension. The fusion of grunge and psychedelia becomes
