Nixil

Born on the cusp of the death of western civilization, Nixil is a manifestation of chaos, rage, strength, and despair, channeled through the art, magick, delirium, and sonic violence of black metal. Their influences range from the weirder side of Mayhem to the atmospheric expansiveness of French avant garde black metal twisted together and made unique through powerful, driving rhythms in the filthy spirit of crust punk combined with snaking riffs of moody, progressive melodies and tinged with occult psychedelia. With a sound and vision capturing the spirit and essence of the classics while forging something strange and new, Nixil weaves and wanders their tortuous path in the form of surrealist black metal.

Having made their presence known with their 2021 independent debut, All Knots Untied, Nixil has steadily garnered a loyal following through extensive live appearances across the span of the US. Their 2023 Prosthetic Records release, From the Wound Spilled Forth Fire, saw them further hone their craft through aural and visual presentation both on stage and recording, making the promise of their third upcoming (as yet untitled) release a thrilling mystery. Their upcoming late spring 2025 tour marks their first foray out of the country, with much more to come...
