Excellent performance. Keith's brooding vocals and manic lyrics paint dark portraits graced by the beautiful sorcery of Diane and her violin.

Biographie de Vudu Sister
Vudu Sister is a dark folk ensemble from Providence, Rhode Island. The Sister is fronted by French-American singer/songwriter Keith J.G McCurdy with Sicilian, and Romanichal roots. The Sister features Diane O'Connor on violin and Isabel Castellvi on cello. The music takes influences from early 90s grunge, alternative rock, Romani music, European folk, as well as gothic rock and Romantic-era classical music. Literary influences range from the high fantasy works of J.R.R. Tolkien, the weird fiction of H.P Lovecraft, and the poetry and myths of classical antiquity and medieval Europe.
In 2012, Vudu Sister released their debut "Bastard Children”, a dark, noir, gothic folk album featuring a cadre of guest musicians. In 2013, they released a grunge-influenced rock album, "Household Items". In 2016, The Sister released "Mortis Nervosa”, inspired by folklore, fairy tales, and “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” by Alvin Schwarz. The fourth and most recent release, “Burnt Offerings”, is a collection of original compositions written entirely in Latin and Ancient Greek, released on June 21, 2021. They have opened for artists such as Marissa Nadler (Sacred Bones/Bella Union) and Rasputina (Filthy Bonnet/Columbia), as well as performing at the Newport Folk Festival. Vudu Sister is currently working on their yet-to-be-titled fifth album.
