Love? said the Commander is a duo from the ‘PhilaJersey’ area that embraces maximal minimalism in order to create slow burning emo-folk that’ll make ya feel stuff. Kate Hall met Chris Bishop on Craigslist in the winter of 2018 and the pair have been writing, recording, and performing together ever since. And now, after six EPs, several singles, and hundreds of live performances throughout the Northeast, the duo is releasing their debut album, ‘Cast Away,’ on July 24, 2024. Its nine songs are a culmination of the experiences, triggers, and traumas of the last six years and represent what they’ve grown into as a band. In the end, all that Love? said the Commander hopes to prove is that Pennsylvania and New Jersey can come together to create something beautiful.
