Biographie de Emmalee Rainbow
Emmalee Rainbow is a singer, ASCAP songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist born in Nashville, TN. After relocating to Los Angeles at the age of three, Rainbow was quickly signed as the youngest represented artist by top youth agency JLA and proceeded to star in a long string of national commercials, TV series and films including Modern Family and McDonalds' 2009 SuperBowl ad. She is also a culinary prodigy and starred on Lifetime's internationally acclaimed cooking competition series Man Vs. Child: Chef Showdown which ran for two seasons. In 2021 she was a Groundlings School scholarship recipient, and is currently training as a comedy writer and performer. Emmalee Rainbow is the granddaughter of Australian pop/rock music pioneer April Byron.
At just twelve years old, Rainbow established and fronted teen indie-rock band Sunset & Vine (of which she was the sole songwriter). The group opened for Player’s California tour at Pete Beckett’s personal request after releasing their debut single Surf’s Up. Thanks to their local buzz, they became a regularly featured band at legendary venues Whisky A Go Go and The Mint. In 2020, Rainbow self-produced her first solo single, the infectious and sugary Love in May. Rainbow was the sole organizer of virtual music festival Music Mends in March 2021, which donated 100% of its proceeds to Stonewall Community Foundation, assisting LGBTQ+ individuals effected by the COVID-19 crisis. The festival featured artists such as Bleached, Ezra Furman, and Eliot Sumner, and received substantial media coverage.
She now splits her time between New York City and Los Angeles, writing music, painting, cooking, and listening to a lot of jazz.
"Emmalee Rainbow is an artist that has a really distinctive perspective and a lush, transcendent sound that sets her apart as someone worth sitting up and paying attention to." - CLOUT Magazine
