Fifth Element jazz quintet is delighted to have been invited back for another performance in the Jazz Lounge at Old Mill Toronto on Friday, May 24th, 2024 from 8:00 to 10:00 pm (doors open at 6:00 pm). In classical thought, the four elements are earth, water, air and fire. For the members of this ensemble, the fifth element, quintessence or spirit, is captured in the music we perform.
The repertoire of the band draws from The Great American Songbook as well as jazz standards covering the swing, ballads, latin and hard bop genres. Our goal is to draw the audience in with musical treatments of this repertoire that are listenable, accessible and engaging.
