Description du concert
It's our first time playing at the Tap Room at The Pineola, so come on out for a great night of country & rock music to celebrate the debut! About the artist: Her country/rock vocals will punch right through you like Starr Larkin’s paddle… a wooden school paddle that Pressley Laton’s principal named “Ol’ George,” that is. With at least 3 chords & the half-truth as in her debut single, "Ol' George," the Stanly County, NC native’s small-town stories inspire her songwriting, whether it was crossing paths with a local “Mountain Man” before graduating from Appalachian State University or the fact she had to break the news to her dad that she wasn’t coming back home because of it. With 2023 performances at Key City Sessions; High Country Beer Fest; & Statesville’s Roots in the Round Singers & Songbirds Songwriter Festival, this year is full of exciting opportunities including a debut at The Appalachian Theatre opening for Adam Church; the Antlers & Acorns: Boone Songwriters Festival; Dock N’ Rock Music Festival; & Firerock Station opening for Paige King Johnson. She and bandmates, Daniel Ames, Austin Summers, & Ray Edmonds, are eager for the release of the forthcoming EP this year, Didn’t Stand a Chance. Recorded at Sioux Sioux Studio with Charlotte, NC-based producer, Jason Scavone, it’s the not-so-mainstream perspective you’ve been craving.

Her country- & rock-influenced vocals will punch right through you like Starr Larkin’s paddle… a wooden school paddle that Pressley Laton’s principal named “Ol’ George,” that is.
