Biographie de Jacob Fitzmaurice

Jacob Fitzmaurice
(Jay-kuhb F-ih-t-sz-m-aw-r-ih-s)

writes and performs 'Faith-Based-Alt-Rock' music for those that crave an honest representation living a life in faith. Jacob does this by sharing personal experiences, asking raw questions, and stating bold conclusions from the celebrations and valleys of life. The end goal in every song is a deeper connection and more human experience with the community around us.

With this mindset Jacob has lead church congregations to sing with passion, willingly shares his life with anyone, and wants to celebrate the redemption story we all carry. Fitzmaurice’s newest project, “Waves of Doubt” is a four track EP album that takes a unique step toward that goal.. Waves of Doubt has four sonically independent songs that portray aspects of Descartes methods of doubt (Illusion, perception, deception).

These tracks will be released as individual tracks with accompanying lyric videos, music videos, and release parties. Jacob plans to create a community for ‘a better discussion’. These conversations surrounding our philosophy of life and a broader understand of God simply have allowed people to feel heard. The goal is to keep this going in 2023!

Jacob through the years has been inspired by many artist with a few stand out influences. A local 2000’s band in Syracuse NY called Fazeshift, Switchfoot, and Gungor. These Bands gave him a love for bands that both rock and talk about some ‘spiritually grey topic’s’. Jacob says he ‘likes the rebellion’. Throughout the years Jacob has played in many musical groups ranging from orchestras, jazz bands, to worship bands. Jacob is a worship Pastor for the Assembly of God church. In the ministry he is able to minister to a variety of music and non-music influenced community’s.

Since 2021 Jacob has been recording his music with Jason Shaffer (recording engineer), Rick Gray (Drummer), Kea Corey (BGV), and Brooke LaNasa (BGV).
