Thanks to the ongoing support of El Rio in carrying on the tradition started by Frank all those years ago, the highlight of the season for the Twang scene is back and better than ever with some new faces in the lineup - and we'd love to see YOUR face in the audience on Monday Afternoon, May 27. • Doors at 3pm • Bands start at 4pm • In order of appearance: 4pm Aaron Burnham & The Brushfires have made quite a splash on the scene in the past year and will get your toes a-tappin' with their upbeat modern-vintage take on the roots of country music. 5pm Dogweed String Band have been wowing audiences with their hybrid of American Roots Music from Western Swing to Old-Time Tunes and virtuoso interplay between these seasoned musicians. 6pm Joe Rut & The Sunshine Shovelers are one of the newer acts on the scene, and these longtime Bay Area musicians will be throwin' down their smokin' Alt-Country and Roots Rock originals. 7pm Headlining the event is the incomparable Mitch Polzak & The Royal Deuces, bringing their high-octane brand of Country Roots and unparalleled showmanship to the El Rio stage.
