Biographie de HAVEN • Band
HAVEN are an Alternative/Post-Metal five-piece from Berlin and Potsdam (Germany).
The band was formed in the beginning of 2016, based on a common interest in exploring heavy sounds – while also showing sensitivity at times. Their aim is to create a dense and dark atmosphere that moves towards light and touches on lyrical themes that raise questions about the nature of our being, the effects it has on us and our world, and how energy comes together in an all-embracing continuity.
HAVEN offer poetic and reflective content in a framework of intense pieces of music, hovering between manic aggression and delicate melodic beauty.
Another focus lies on incorporating visual and performative elements, which is reflected by their sophisticated artwork and the band’s live performance.
After crafting their sound and working on songs covertly for a couple of years, HAVEN emerged with their debut EP “Anima” in October 2018, followed by first live performances. The EP, which was recorded and released as a DIY effort, was met with positive reviews from several online metal magazines. Moreover, heartfelt feedback from concert-goers clearly showed that the band’s energy is able to enthuse fans of heavy music.
The band now aims to record their second EP over the summer of 2019, and to refine their artistic vision and musical presence – to be proven with further concerts throughout Germany and in neighboring countries.
