Matted Grass | Pink Beds | The Pinkerton Raid

Tickets are on sale NOW at TheRamkat.com! Matted Grass is the ongoing songwriting project of prolific multi-instrumentalist, producer and artist Ezra Noble (Make Light, Leonard Cottage). Noble has been writing songs since he started playing guitar in middle school. Matted Grass songs tend to be bushy, beautiful and surprising. His vocals are poetic, apoplectic, confrontational and mercurial. The Burgundy Brigade is the powerful duo of Matt Tuttle (Codeseven, Telescreen) and Grant Livesay (producer for various artists including Twinn Zeus and OG Spliff). Flexing from rock idioms to jazz to hiphop without breaking a sweat, their imaginative and skilled musicianship is majestic to behold. They have backed Matted Grass live with Tuttle on drums and Livesay on bass and keys since combining forces in 2017 to collaborate on songs for Noble's new album. This show is the release celebration for that album, “MG4”. These 9 songs were the cream skimmed from live tracking sessions spanning from 2017 to 2019, and completed in local studios from 2017-2022. The album arrangements are rooted in the trio of guitar, bass and drums, but made massive with synths, layered guitars and auxiliary percussion. Interdisciplinary artist Zac Trainor will be providing live-manipulated visuals for this show. There may be guest appearances from Winston-Salem music buddies.
