Divanhana, a Bosnian sevdah band, weaves traditional music into fresh arrangements infused with jazz, pop, and 20th-century classical influences. Their mission extends to cherishing and representing urban traditional music from the Balkan region, with a particular dedication to the Sevdalinka genre, earning them the role of cultural ambassadors.
Renowned for their exceptional musical talents, Divanhana has garnered numerous prestigious music awards, solidifying their position among the elite of the music industry. Notably, their studio album "Zavrzlama" was selected as one of the world's ten best albums by the prestigious Songlines Magazine.
In 2023, Songlines Magazine also declared Divanhana as the "Best Group in the World," a testament to their remarkable musical prowess.

Biographie de DIVANHANA
Divanhana was formed at the beginning of 2009 by a group of students from Music Academy in Sarajevo. The band performs traditional music from Balkan in their new recognizable arrangements influenced by Jazz, Pop and Classical music. They especially focus on nurturing and presenting sevdah, the urban traditional music of Bosnia & Herzegovina. In addition to a very dedicated and exploring approach to tradition, Divanhana enriches their creative opus with originally written music inspired by traditional songs.
