Albion West

Albion West is a progressive folk group based in Chicago, IL. Led by musician and songwriter Kacie Swierk, its roots began in her disappointment with the realities of her work as a solo artist. Having written, recorded, and (quietly) toured two solo projects, she craved the collaboration and musical possibilities a band might offer. Through happenstance and a family friend, respectively, she met drummer Jeremiah de la Peña and cellist/vocalist Linnea Scott, and that dream of collaboration finally became a reality. As a trio, Albion West draws on the varied backgrounds of each member to create music rich with feeling and integrity, aiming for a colorful twist on the folk tradition.
