Biographie de Sally Rose
"With their first solo album in a decade, Sally Rose is getting back to their Americana roots. But don’t worry, they're still a rock n’ roll riot grrrl at heart — and they're bringing some much needed queer femme representation to the world of country music."
-RVA Mag
"After singing on “Tread Light”, her newest solo record I was hooked. Our voices just work together.
I invited Sally Rose to come by the studio to sing on a song while recording Spring Hill. That song turned into five.
There are more moving parts to a “solo record” than meet the ear. The players, the arrangements, the studio environment and the feeling of the takes are often more important than the songs themselves. If anything is off, it doesn’t work.
Sally Rose is never off. She is always on. In fact, she makes the song. She completes the song.
Give this Nelson County native a listen. I’m honored to have her on Spring Hill. I’m honored that we are sharing the stage at Nov Fest this year. And 'm looking forward to collecting miles on the road together."
