Description du concert
Local highschoolers are invited to attend the second annual Safe Space Prom! This event is being co-hosted by the Des Moines Art Center and the Queer Youth Resource Center. Safe Space Prom has been created to give LGBTQIA highschoolers a place to enjoy a classic prom experience while being their whole, beautiful selves in community with other LGBTQIA high school students.
Safe Space Prom will feature an on-site makeup artist, a free photo booth, a live DJ, and a Sarah Tonin performance. The event will provide gluten free/vegan desserts, soda, and water to guests.

Biographie de Sarah Tonin
Sarah Tonin is an avant-pop band based in Des Moines, Iowa. The band has been around since 2022, starting with frontman Sarah Bean, who wrote original songs and performed around Des Moines at various events. In the summer of 2023, Sarah recorded his debut EP “7th” with GR!T Records and released it in November 2023. He since has formed his full band consisting of Lotus Geigley on guitar, Vivien Shutters on Bass, and Cameron Mertes on drums. The band has been performing around Des Moines at various events ranging from fundraisers, prom, headlining shows, and branching out to performing in surrounding Des Moines cities.
The band is currently working on releasing a new record so stay tuned!
