Biographie de Tim McWilliams Music
The Tim McWilliams Band is a country, bluegrass, and blues group from Asheville, North Carolina that has performed their unique, and infectiously fun blend of American roots music in barrooms, theaters, and festivals throughout the Southeast and beyond since 2014.
Throughout its time together, the band has been garnering rave reviews, including features in Asheville's Mountain Xpress, Boone's High Country Press and Watauga Democrat, and regular airplay on regional stations WNCW, WRIR, and WTJU. The group has also opened for a number of prominent national acts, including Larry Keel, The Tillers, The Howlin' Brothers, and has performed at iconic regional festivals, including MerleFest, LEAF, Fall for Greenville, and Downtown Asheville Independence Day Celebration.
Primarily a trio, the band is led by Tim McWilliams on guitar, banjo, and vocals, and features some of Asheville's finest musicians, including Nick Dauphinais on mandolin (Larry Stephenson Band), William Ritter on fiddle/banjo, Drayton Aldridge on fiddle (Drayton and the Dreamboats; Sirius B.), Tim Comstock on bass (Alexa Rose), and Zach Smith on bass (Town Mountain).
With more than seven hundred shows already under their belt, the group is excited to continue their musical evolution, developing new takes on classic songs, bringing an impassioned live show to audiences throughout the region, and pushing musical boundaries within the many sub-genres of Americana.
