Sauce 'knocked it out of the park'. I've done my best to catch his gigs for the last 15+ years, and this one may have been his BEST. To quote Jimmy Buffet, who savored the Sauce Boss at his own Margaritaville venue: "The best 'bar band' I ever heard'". Bill's audience engagement is unmatched, as is his music, and his latest additions are a mind (and heart)-bending expansion of his musicianship and songwriting. Keep of the good work Bill - and the good gumbo. I was hoping for and was rewarded with what Bill now calls his anthem, "Let the Big Dog Eat", and only mildly disappointed that I didn't hear an old favorite: "She's a monkey", but, though I'm about Bill's age, I pray there will be a next time. . .

Biographie de Sauce Boss
Sauce Boss not only plays slide, sings his tamales off, makes gumbo, and feeds everybody… he also plays a drum kit with his feet. “You take that 53 Telecaster, pump it through that 48 Fender amp, add a bass rig, mix in some drums, all simmered down over some funky swamp blues, and smothered with gumbo, and you got a recipe for the largest one-man band on the planet.”
The Sauce Boss has cooked gumbo on stage for over 200,000 for free. He mixes his spicy slide guitar with his Liquid Summer Hot Sauce right into every night's performance of his own gumbo recipe. It's a multi-sensory soul shouting picnic of rock and roll brotherhood. And at the end of the night, everybody eats.
"The Sauce Boss does his cooking on stage
Stirring and a' singing for his nightly wage
Sweating and a' fretting from his head to his toe, playing and buffeting with the gumbo"
from "I Will Play for Gumbo"
by Jimmy Buffett (2000)
