Biographie de Tiago Guy
Tiago Guy (also known by his previous artist moniker, T. Guy) is a Brazilian-born singer-songwriter who, in the spring of 2021, made the big move to New Orleans to pursue his passion for American roots music. Since then, he has carved his way into the local music scene, playing many of the city's well-known stages such as Tipitina's, the Maple Leaf, and Chickie Wah Wah.
He has also made appearances on local TV and radio stations including WWOZ, and opened for touring acts, like Nashville-based Parker Millsap. In 2022, his debut album Tell Uncle John--a collection of his original, bluesy tunes infused with Americana & folk lyrical sensibilities--was included as part of the Crescent City Sounds initiative, a commercial-free streaming library made up of local artists, curated by the New Orleans Public Library. He is currently working on his second album, featuring Jon Cleary, Nigel Hall, the Zion Harmonizers, and many others.
