Biographie de Mike Szabo
If you listen closely to the songs of Mike Szabo, you may well feel that he wrote them for you.
If you ask him, he'll tell you that he did.
After a lifetime of campfire gigs, Mike found himself on a stage and behind a mic for the first time in 2017 and then, the songs began to come.
Along with them came something he never truly heard before, his own voice.
Now with catalog of more than 85 of his own songs, Mike has found his true calling and a dream he never knew he had. A dream that his songs will be meaningful to many and will make a difference.
His influences include John Prine, Jackson Browne, Harry Chapin and Gordon Lightfoot to name but a few and Mike is a blend of all of them and more, with a voice and a style all his own.
A lifetime Albertan and the father of two wonderful daughters, Mike believes it is never too late to try new things.
With the support of his family, his local music community, clubs and venues, Mike has a a full head of steam and is chasing his dream and at 65 years young, he/ll tell you he is just getting started.
