Biographie de Jan Doyle Band
Jan Doyle Band weave and wind their own unique path through synthpop industrial goth and punk with a spectacularly engaging live show. Never keen to repeat a sound they are always adventuring and moving forwards. "One can learn from the confidence and stage presence Derek showcases when looking right into your face reciting his lyrics and breaking synths in pointier heels I could ever walk with" - Emese of Black Nail Cabaret “Insurrectionary Neo Futurists”, and as they have questioned themselves, it's odd how endless every-generational regurgitation of RnB and rock tropes is (at least mostly) unquestioned, unjudged, welcomed even, while anyone playing, performing, anything that could be damned and boxed as 80s synth pop is dismissed as “řetro”; don't make the mistake of doing that to this bunch. They are utterly fresh, present, and insanely danceable. Enjoy! I certainly did, and a damned sight more than I would J. Random guitar band appearing at every stage near you. Loved them, I did." - Fan Pete Jordan on his first encounter with the band "[T]he live incarnation[ of the band] took the music to another level. Having Williams as your front man helps. Looking like a wasted teenager who barely gets out in the daylight, possibly on account of reading way too many 2000AD comics in a dingy and grim bedroom." - Rob Dyer of http://dsoaudio.com Insurrectionary Neo Futurists Dark electronics, punk performance, new romantic glamour.
