Biographie de Jennifer Crook

“A brilliant evening. Exceptional songwriting where the lyrics reign supreme. Fantastic musicianship on stage - pure class” (Schtumm Presents)

Jennifer Crook’s classic songwriting - with its vivid storytelling, beautiful imagery and poignant mix of hope and experience - is both timeless and right on time. A UK singer, songwriter, musician and performer she has carved her own path through the worlds of Folk, Roots and Americana. Her solo albums have received critical acclaim from BBC Radio 2, Bob Harris, the folk press and beyond. She's worked with producer Stephen W Tayler (Kate Bush) amongst others at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios and recently released her 5th album co-produced with Stuart Bruce (Van Morrison, Peter Gabriel, Loreena McKennitt).

'The Broken Road Back Home’ has been hailed as “one of the year's best albums" by Folking.com and a Top Pick in Maverick magazine. "a wonderful album... this record is some of Crook's finest work to date and it will be good to hear them in a live setting. If you appreciate great songwriting then its well worth a listen!" Maverick

The album features her stellar new live band ‘The Broken Road’ (Joe Coombs on electric and slide guitar, Rob Brian on drums and Stuart Bruce on bass).

Previous collaborations include Eddi Reader, Boo Hewerdine, Darrell Scott, Miranda Sykes (Show of Hands), Clive Gregson, Beth Porter (Spell Songs) and many others. She has also worked with Andy Davis (The Korgis), Charlie Jones (Robert Plant), toured with Snow Patrol and performed at the Royal Albert Hall and at festivals and venues across the UK and Ireland.

"I can confirm she is as good live as on record so catch her when she comes to your town" FATEA.
