Twanguero & Los Silverbacks are performing at Catalina Jazz Club on Thursday May 9th! Live! Thurs, May 9th at 8:30pm. Dinner begins at 7PM. Latin Grammy Winner, songwriter, & guitar prodigy, Diego Garcia, alias Twanguero is bringing back his world music collective to Catalina’s stage. Come discover “Los Silverbacks”, harmonious blend of influences and sounds from Spain, Argentina, and the Congo - among others. Currently working on their first album recording with Playing for Change, the collective brings together musicians from Los Pinguos, Afro Fiesta and Twanguero. Inspired by their world travels & artistic encounters, Los Silverbacks bring a unique sound that is a surprising fusion of African, Latin and Spanish rhythms, with elements of “Rock en español”, American country, rockabilly as well as reggae flavors.
