Biographie de Custody
Custody are a five piece punk band hailing from Southern Finland. While they only formed in 2015, they are no newcomers to punk rock circles with almost 100 years of combined experience of playing in bands, touring and releasing records.
After touring together in several other bands, Custody was born with a common goal of writing and recording some pop punk tunes that they were brewing at the time. Within months of formation, Stitches Are All We Have / Miles Apart, a 2 song 7” was released to much acclaim.
The following year saw the release of their 2nd 7” which was met with greater acclaim still.
The band’s debut full length came out in 2018 which was a busy year for the band seeing them tour in Europe and the USA playing club shows and festivals alike – Booze Cruise in Hamburg and The Fest in Gainesville to name a few.
2019 saw the band slow their touring schedule to concentrate on album number 2 but they still managed to visit Punk Rock Holiday in Slovenia and Feel Good Fest in Russia.
The second album was finally tracked over 5 days with Teemu Aalto in Kotka Finland in September 2019. The album sees a bit of a departure in sound and song writing with even bolder, bigger choruses and harmonies forming the backbone of the 10 melodic short stories which chronicle the difficulties of everyday life. The cover art follows the theme of collage art which began with the first release in 2015 and which has been created again by Riitta Koukkunen.
2024, time for album 3! It took 4 days this time to track live and though still noticeable in sound a small progression nonetheless. The songs give more room for bass and vocals to shine making in the best sounding album so far.
