Alonzo Demetrius

Alonzo Demetrius [Ryan Jr.] is a trumpeter, composer, bandleader, and vocalist, that is California born and New Jersey raised. He obtained a bachelor's in music at the Berklee College of Music and 2019 he earned his master's from the Berklee Global Jazz Institute Master's Program. He currently resides in Los Angeles and performs throughout the US with his band, The Ego, as well as tours with notable artists such as Ripe, BrassTracks, Julius Rodriguez, and Amina Figarova. Alonzo is a versatile performer and creative composer who has scored for commercials, video games, and more. He has filmed an NPR @home session, been featured in Downbeat magazine, and his debut album was received with critical acclaim. He plans to stretch his music beyond instrumentals into vocals with his sophomore album in 2024.
