Wonderful gig by multi—instrumentalist Katie Grace Harris at The Carpenters Arms, Miserden last night, as always a delightful selection of story songs with accompanying back story, often evolving and augmented by information gleaned from the audience 😊 lots of audience participation including use of the spoons! Lol.. anyone would think she is a music teacher 🥳😁

Biographie de Katie Grace Harris
Katie Grace Harris made her Folk debut at an early age.
'While travelling in a rusty Triumph Toledo and accompanied only by my Dad, we would sing songs from Joni Mitchell, The Spinners, Ralph McTell and James Taylor' she says.
It's no doubt that these early experiences have influenced the sound that she makes today which can best be described as earthy, piano accompanied English Folk; gentle new arrangements of traditional songs alongside raw and exposed original compositions which draw attention to historic stories with a smattering of social justice to temper the mix. Katie has turned her hand to a variety of instruments including Piano, Whistles, Piano Accordion and Shruti. Katie can mostly be spotted playing solo or with various musicians around the folk clubs of the UK.
