Description du concert
With millions of streams and hundreds of international shows between them, Zoe Sky Jordan and Michaela Slinger decided to plan a tour that prioritized listener connection above all else. The two have orbited each other in Los Angeles as friends and collaborators for years, with their various artist projects leaning pop, folk, indie, and alternative with firm roots in the singer-songwriter tradition. SKY SLINGER is a week-long collection of shows across British Columbia in unlikely places—house shows, vintage stores, restaurants—formatted as Nashville-style writers' rounds. It's like the seventies, but with the internet!
Canadian born, LA-based alternative singer-songwriter Sky Jordan is known for her comedic storytelling and incisive lyrics. Her music has been featured on dozens of shows such as Riverdale, Lost Girl, and Switched at Birth and she recently signed a publishing deal with Daytripper Music. Slinger spends her time between LA, Nashville, and Vancouver writing and collaborating with award-winning artists like Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen) and Khalid Yassein (Wild Rivers). In 2023 she was selected to open for Dermot Kennedy and Donovan Woods in support of her full length "This Can't Last Forever" (604 Records).

Biographie de Michaela Slinger
Michaela Slinger is a “legendary songbird-in-the-making” shining new light on old feelings like love, longing, and uncertainty. Her sophomore record ‘This Can’t Last Forever’ received acclaim from RANGE, The Georgia Straight, Portside Live, Daily Hive, and CBC Music, and was written between her muse cities of Nashville, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Toronto with collaborators including Khalid Yassein (Wild Rivers) and Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen).
Michaela embarked on a 19-city North American tour throughout the summer of 2023 to share her album in what she tongue-in-cheekily describes as “the old-fashioned way”. It appears that strategy worked—she was hand-picked to open for Dermot Kennedy, Sasha Alex Sloan, and Donovan Woods along the way, landed the cover of Amazon Music's 'Fresh Folk and Acoustic' playlist, and received spotlighting on SiriusXM's Poplandia 'About To Break' program and CBC Music’s ‘Songs You Need To Hear’.
Although there’s no shortage of media to consume, once you see Michaela live, you remember. Her live show is honest, authentic, always funnier than expected, and a masterclass in stage command and vocal performance.
