Ben Balmer joins Craig Kellberg at his weekly pirate themed gig at quirky meadery Fae Nectar in Lake Lure. Sea Shanties and traditional sea-faring songs abound. Ben enjoys this change of pace from his usual shows, and gets to stretch his nerd legs on this gig.

Ben is creative, funny and has a huge range of style and vocals. This was a great show. He is superb.

Biographie de Ben Balmer
Ben Balmer, raised in Ypsilanti, Michigan, started his musical journey with the harmonica at 13, quickly adding guitar and performing in clubs by age 16. In 2008, he hit the road, busking across the U.S. before settling in Austin for 14 years. He has released 3 albums in the rootsy, Folk, Americana genre: Dug In (2012), Loose Lips (2015), and Honky-Tonk Macbeth (2021).
Post-pandemic, Ben sought change and relocated to Asheville, NC in 2022. Embracing the local scene, he's performing across the Southeast, playing house concerts and songwriters festivals, and continuing his involvement in the international harmonica community. Currently crafting his fourth album, Ben anticipates releasing singles in 2024, drawing inspiration from Asheville’s rich musical setting.
