The instructional program at Choro Camp New England is designed with several goals in mind:
We learn by doing, which is to say, by playing choro.
We seek to engage both experienced chorões and newcomers to the genre.
We recognize choro as incorporating – and, in turn, influencing – other Brazilian musical genres. So we may include the study and enjoyment of samba, forró, frevo, etc.

Words cannot be enough to describe how terrific this show was . Anat Cohen and her group really moved the audience in ways hard to describe - a miraculous soul- enriching concert.

Biographie de Anat Cohen
An established bandleader and prolific composer, idiomatically conversant with modern and traditional jazz, classical music, Brazilian choro and an expansive timeline of Afro-Cuban styles, Anat Cohen has established herself as one of the primary voices of her generation on both the tenor saxophone and clarinet since arriving in New York in 1999.
