Biographie de Jorge Drexler
Jorge Drexler was born in Montevideo, Uruguay on September 21, 1964. In 1992 he was licensed as doctor in Medicine form the UNIVERSITY OF THE REPUBLIC in Uruguay. In the early 90's he started writing songs and working on what would be his first album.
As of today, the singer-songwriter has 13 albums and 25 years of career; with 15 nominations to the Latin Grammy, of which he won 2, 2014 Record of the year and Best singer-songwriter Album, he also has 4 nominations to the US Grammy Awards, 5 ASCAP Latin Awards and an Academy Award for Best Song "Al otro lado del río".
His songs and adaptations have been recorded by a wide variety of singers ranking from Shakira to Mercedes Sosa to Neneh Cherry and Jovanotti.
